The conference room
A half-day of combined scientific and social programme will be organised in the medieval town of Eger, which was occupied by the Turks for almost the whole 17th century. A scientific session will be held at the Eszterházy Károly University in what used to be a baroque chapel in the local lycée (1785), originally the first building designed for a university in Hungary. After the session, a guided evening walk through the fortress will lead to a restaurant in an authentic surrounding for a dinner inspired by the local cuisine.
